Dům Módy na Václavském náměstí byl postaven po Stalinově smrti, v době mírného společenského uvolnění, architekt Josef Hrubý tedy nebyl nucen použít styl tzv. sorely, ale vrací se k odkazu meziválečné avantgardní architektury. Dům měl na svou dobu velmi vyspělé technické vybavení ( - v domě jsou tři rychlovýtahy, zářivkové osvětlení, centrální větrání ve všch patrech nebo automatické hlásiče požáru).Obklad průčelí do ulice je z nažloutlé sázavské žuly a moravského travertinu, do dvora je obklad keramický. Nad vchodem je figurální reliéf od Vladimíra Janouška. V současné době slouží dům původnímu účelu a majitel jeho historii používá k propagaci.

The House of Fashion, also located at Wenceslas Square, was built in the times of a moderate social relief that followed Stalin’s death, so architect Josef Hrubý was not forced to design the building in the style of Social realism, as it used to be in the 1950s. He used this chance to return to the Avant-garde architecture of the interwar period. Featuring three high-speed elevators, fluorescent lighting a central ventilation system and an automatic fire alarm system, the building’s technical equipment was ahead of its time. The street facades have a cladding combining yellowish Sázava granite and Moravian travertine, the courtyard facades feature a ceramic cladding. A speciality is the figural relief by Vladimír Janoušek, located just above the main entrance. The house still serves its original purpose and its owner regularly uses the building’s history to promote it.
